The meeting of the foreign ministers of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and Germany Frank Walter Steinmeier took place in Berlin.
The agenda of the meeting covered a wide range of current issues of the bilateral Ukrainian-German cooperation. The Sides discussed the key aspects of Minsk’s agreements implementation, as well as establishment of visa free regime for Ukrainian citizens including the issues of fulfillment of the “road map” of visa free dialog.
The Head of the German MFA assured his Ukrainian colleague at the press conference that Germany will remain to stand up for comprehensive support of Ukraine in political, economic and security areas and be true to the principles of using mechanism of sanctions to the full implementation of Minsk’s agreements.
In turn Pavlo Klimkin stressed on the uniqueness of existing current level of cooperation between Ukraine and Germany and expressed his gratitude to the German side for the latest statements in support of Ukraine in the framework of the G7 and the EU.
