The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Argentine Republic and the Republic of Chile (with residence in Buenos Aires) H.E. Yurii O. Diudin has represented Ukraine at the 11th Summit of the Pacific Alliance – the prospect integration unit of Latin America, which includes Chile, Colombia, Peru and Mexico. The nations mentioned above have dynamic development and provide, inter alia, 55% of export of the region.
The decision to grant Ukraine the Observer’s status was approved this June at the Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Pacific Alliance in Mexico City.
In the frameworks of the Summit, on June 29 2016, the First Ministerial Meeting of the States-Members of the Pacific Alliance as well as the representatives of the Observer States (which constitute today 49 nations of different regions of the world) was held. The ways of enhancing the cooperation in such branches as internationalization of small and medium level enterprises, education and innovation spheres, science and technologies as well as trade facilitation were particularly discussed.
The Observer’s status of Ukraine will facilitate the effectiveness of communication with the Pacific Alliance Member States and afford the extension of the mechanisms of influence on realizing Ukrainian interests in the region as well as reinforce capabilities of active promotion of the Ukrainian manufacturers’ goods to the states of Latin America.
