Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko has met Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/OHDIR) Janez Lenarčič who came to Ukraine to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Ukraine and the OSCE on the training of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine in combating hate crime.
During the meeting the sides have discussed establishing effective cooperation between Ukraine and the OSCE in the context of our country’s forthcoming OSCE Chairmanship in 2013. In this regard, the sides have exchanged views on implementing the OSCE humanitarian dimension priorities, topical for all the Participating States.
When discussing currently ongoing preparations of ODIHR for organizing an Observation Mission in Ukraine to monitor the forthcoming parliamentary elections in our country, the parties have affirmed their willingness to continue an open and constructive interaction. The Minister has emphasized that the Foreign Ministry would provide all-out support to the international observers in the performance of their functions.
