On 1^st August 2016, newly-appointed German Ambassador to Ukraine Ernst Wolfgang Reichel presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for the European Integration Olena Zerkal.

During the meeting, parties noted the high level of bilateral Ukrainian-German relations and the mutual aspiration to their further intensification. The issues of regional problems also were discussed.

O.Zerkal highly appreciated the practical assistance of Germany in the implementation of Ukrainian reforms.
