On September 8th Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin will pay a working visit to Germany.
The visit is aimed at negotiating with the leading German politicians the possibilities of deepening the Ukrainian-German political dialogue and broadening bilateral cooperation in the context of implementing structural reforms in Ukraine. Special attention will be paid to ensuring the Germany’ support of granting a visa-free regime to Ukrainian citizens and the extension of the EU sanctions against Russia.
During the meeting the sides will also raise the issue of implementing the Minsk agreements and political settlement of the situation in the Eastern Ukraine in the context of countering Russian aggression.
The talks with the German deputies, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs F.-W.Steinmeier and other representatives of the German Government are scheduled in the course of the Minister’s stay in Berlin.
