On October 17, 2016 in the framework of his working visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin met with Chairman of the Committee on Foreign and European Affairs, Defense, Cooperation and Immigration of the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Marc Angel.
In the course of the meeting the parties discussed current issues of the EU-Ukraine relations agenda, the progress in the visa-free dialogue and implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. The parties also discussed the need for the implementation of the Minsk accords by Russian Federation. The two interlocutors specifically addressed the issue of Crimea and steps aimed at ensuring the de-occupation of the peninsular.
Pavlo Klimkin and Marc Angel emphasized mutual desire of both parties to step up bilateral political dialogue, including its parliamentary dimension, as well as trade and economic relations between Ukraine and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
