Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Embassy of Japan in Ukraine held the opening ceremony of the Year of Japan in Ukraine

On the 26th of January the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine held the opening ceremony of the Year of Japan in Ukraine and celebrated the 25th Anniversary of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Japan.
The event was opened by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Pavlo Klimkin, Minister of culture Mr. Yevgen Nyshchuk and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Mr. Shigeki Sumi. The representatives of the diplomatic corps, Ukrainian Government and Parliament, Ukraine-Japan business community, and cultural circles participated in the event.
In the welcoming remarks Mr. Pavlo Klimkin, Mr. Nyshchuk and Mr. Shigeki Sumi underlined high dynamics of the Ukraine-Japan bilateral relations and expressed confidence that the Year of Japan in Ukraine, being a highlight of the 25th anniversary of the bilateral relations, will contribute to further boost of our cooperation in all spheres and people to people contacts.
