First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Demchenko received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to Ukraine Petras Vaitiekunas.

At the meeting the sides have focused on the topical issues of Ukrainian-Lithuanian relations, first of all, in terms of further intensification of bilateral political dialogue. Ruslan Demchenko and Petras Vaitiekunas also shared their views of the implementation of the Roadmap of Developing Strategic Partnership between Ukraine and Lithuania for 2011-2012, as well as the preparation of a Roadmap for 2013-2014.

Special attention was paid to the enhancement of trade and economic ties and cooperation in the consular field.
