“The sympathy and solidarity of the citizens of Ukraine with the Dutch people regarding the tragedy of the MH-17 flight will forever remain in my memory”, Ambassador of the Netherlands Kees Klompenhouwer said during a meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine.
Minister and Ambassador expressed confidence that those who are responsible for downing of flight MH-17 will be brought to justice, and Ukrainian-Dutch interaction in this regard is extremely important.
During the conversation they stated that the tragedy of MH-17 as well as the Dutch referendum on the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU became serious exams in the bilateral relations in keeping with the spirit of friendship and mutual trust between the two peoples.
Ambassador of the Netherlands noted the progress of reforms in Ukraine and also emphasized that during his mission in our country he witnessed the consolidation and tempering of the Ukrainian nation.
Minister wished the Ambassador success in the future activities.
