The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its resolute protest over yet another shameful act of infringement of the fundamental freedoms and the rights of Ukrainian citizen, journalist Mykola Semena.

The groundless and politically motivated “sentence of  Mykola Semena by the occupation court to 2.5 years in prison with probation proves again that repressions are targeted by the aggressor state against the residents of the occupied Ukrainian territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.  

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine calls upon the foreign governments and international human rights organizations not to leave the new attack by Russia,  the aggressor state, against fundamental freedoms on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea without response.
