On December 5, 2017 the Ukrainian-Japanese political consultations at the level of Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya and Director-General of European Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yasushi Masaki was held in Tokyo.
During the political consultations the Japanese side confirmed the continuity of its policy on supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as readiness to continue providing the credit and financial, humanitarian, expert assistance to Ukraine and the active support of sweeping reforms in our country.
The two sides discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation’s issues, stressed on the high level of the current political dialogue between two states and the successful holding of «The Year of Japan in Ukraine».
The issue of cooperation between the two states on the international arena, in particular in the framework of the United Nations, security situation in Ukraine and Asia-Pacific region, interaction of both states in other spheres of mutual interest were also discussed during the political consultations.
