State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Zayats accepted copies of the Credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Ukraine (with residence in Berlin) H.E. Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Brahim Khlil.

Andriy Zayats congratulated H.E. Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Brahim Khlil with the beginning of his diplomatic mission to Ukraine and emphasized the intention of our state to develop further mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries.

During the meeting some key issues of bilateral relations were discussed. The parties outlined practical steps aimed at intensifying political dialogue. The Mauritanian Ambassador was briefed on the situation in the context of ongoing Russian military aggression against Ukraine.

Mutual readiness for further enhancing of comprehensive trade and economic cooperation have been confirmed, especially in the sphere of fishing. The parties also discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation in the field of education
