On April 25, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olena Zerkal received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine Eduard Hoeks.
The diplomats expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral collaboration and positively marked the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and the Netherlands. It was noted that the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU including the Deep and Comprehensive FTA is an additional favorable factor for further intensification of cooperation. The Dutch Ambassador stressed the importance of further effective implementation by Ukraine of the Association Agreement.
It was also noted the importance of deepening of interaction between the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and the Netherlands Institute of International Relations Clingendael.
Both sides commended the bilateral interaction in the investigation of the MH-17 tragedy and, in particular, confirmed the joint position on the importance of bringing to justice those responsible for the crime.
Olena Zerkal also expressed the position of Ukraine regarding the deployment of the UN peacekeeping operation in Donbas.
