On 9August 2018 Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Sergiy Kyslytsya met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Ukraine Dr. Yuddy Chrisnandi.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister expressed profound condolences on the numerous victims caused by devastating earthquake that struck Lombok Island on 5August, and transferred the letter of condolences from President of Ukraine Mr. Petro Poroshenko to President of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Joko Widodo.
The parties also discussed wide range of issues of the bilateral agenda, as well as the prospects for further development of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation.
The Indonesian side expressed its readiness for fruitful cooperation with Ukraine in all spheres of mutual interest. The Indonesian side expressed its interest in the experience acquired by Ukraine during its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council in order to tackle effectively the global challenges of the international agenda.
The Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated Indonesia with the election as the non-permanent member of the UN Security Council 2019-2020 and confirmed the readiness of Ukrainian side to provide comprehensive assistance in this sphere. In particular, it was suggested to hold consultation with representatives of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations in New York.
