Within the framework of the Third session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Emirati Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation (August 16-17, 2018, Kyiv) Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Pavlo Klimkin met with Dr. Anwar Gargash, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

The Parties discussed prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, identified the priority directions of Ukrainian-Emirati interaction for the near future. Particular attention was paid to the issues of cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of President of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Petro Poroshenko to the UAE on November 1-2, 2017.

After the meeting Pavlo Klimkin and Anwar Gargash participated in the opening ceremony of the Arabic Language Center at the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and signed a Memorandum on Cooperation between the Hennadiy Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Emirates Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE.
