Within the framework of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin met with his Italian counterpart Enzo Moavero Milanesi.

In the context of Italy's Chairmanship in the OSCE, the parties discussed the practical support of the Italian side of Ukraine's initiatives to restore peace in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of extension of sanctions against the Russian Federation.

The parties also agreed on further steps on the development of bilateral relations, including the holding of the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Italian joint intergovernmental commission.
