On 10 December 2018, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin will pay a visit to Brussels in order to hold a working meeting with Foreign Ministers of the EU Member States upon the invitation of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
The meeting will be held within the framework of the EU Foreign Affairs Council which agenda comprises the escalation of the situation in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait.
The ministers are expected to discuss a comprehensive EU response to Russia's aggressive actions, in particular through increasing sanction pressure on the Kremlin, as well as assistance to Ukraine in releasing Ukrainian prisoners of war and support to the Azov region which is suffering from the consequences of the Russian aggression on land and at sea.
