Today, on February 21, 2019, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine Joel Lyon within the established regular dialogue between the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and the Israeli diplomatic mission.
During the friendly conversation, a number of issues of interaction between the two sides, both in the bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations, was discussed.
The interlocutors stressed the utmost importance of further development of partnership between Ukraine and Israel, in particular, in order to fulfill the agreements reached during the visit of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to the State of Israel in January this year.
Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya informed the Ambassador of Israel Joel Lyon that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was to strengthen its work on protecting the interests of Ukrainian citizens who are traveling abroad and on monitoring the situation regarding the protection of their rights.
Both sides agreed to work on deepening interaction between the relevant authorities of Ukraine and Israel in order to ensure the interests of citizens of both countries during their travel to Israel and Ukraine.
Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya once again condemned the provocative cases of the usage of symbols of forbidden ideologies, in particular Nazi.
