Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn stated during the meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs  of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin on March 25 in Kyiv.

The heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs noted an active political dialogue and constructive interaction between Ukraine and Luxembourg, in particular within the UN, in supporting sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state, which is under the aggression of the Russian Federation.

Special attention was paid to the situation in Donbas and Crimea, temporarily occupied by Russia. Minister Asselborn noted that Luxembourg supported the immediate release by Russia of Ukrainian political prisoners and prisoners of war.

Ministers has also commended the trade growth and intensification of investment partnership between Ukraine and Luxembourg as a result of the entering into force of the Ukraine – EU Association Agreement including Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area.
