Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yehor Bozhok took part in the Eastern Partnership Senior Officials Meeting in Brussels.
The main focus of the event was devoted to the EU policy “20 Deliverables for 2020” and further development of the Eastern Partnership (EaP), as this initiative celebrates its 10-year anniversary.
In his speech the Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude to the EU Member States for their support to Ukraine's European aspirations and emphasized the importance to elaborate ambitious EaP agenda after 2020, which should include deepening EU sectoral and economic cooperation with the Associated Partners in the areas of transport, energy, digital economy, justice and customs.
Yehor Bozhok also called on the European partners to keep the EU doors open to the states who are willing to join the EU family and fulfil the relevant criteria.
"The strategic course of Ukraine for joining the European Union remains consistent and unchanged, it is enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine and is supported by the majority of Ukrainian citizens.
In its turn, the EU should ensure the consistency of its stance and confirm the recognition of the European aspirations and European choice of Ukraine ", - stressed Yehor Bozhok.
