«Sweden is interested in further expansion of cooperation with Ukraine to enhance support and assistance in addressing urgent challenges», noted the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Tobias Thyberg during the presentation of copies of his credentials to the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European Integration Olena Zerkal. «Such an interest of Sweden is a natural intention to help friends and partners», the Swedish diplomat emphasized.

Tobias Thyberg underlined the consistent stance of the Government of Sweden on supporting territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. He also noted that Stockholm’s practical assistance in reforms’ implementation extends to a wide range of areas such as strengthening democracy and the rule of law, improving the business climate, protecting the environment and energy efficiency.

Olena Zerkal pointed out that Ukraine highly appreciates support and tangible assistance of friendly Sweden. Such a friendly position helps Ukraine to overcome existing challenges and implement internal and external priorities.
