Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olena Zerkal received newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Greece Vasilios Bornovas.

Ambassador of Greece Vasilios Bornovas emphasized unwavering support by Greece of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Such a stance rests on commitment to the international law as the basis of international relations.

Both sides expressed mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in appliance of the international law to guarantee the freedom of navigation in compliance with the international law.

The Greek diplomat noted positive role of the numerous ethnic Greek community in Ukraine in building up friendly relations with Greece.

Deputy Minister Olena Zerkal expressed gratitude for the rehabilitation of 100 Ukrainian children from the Donbas this summer in Greece.
