At the United Nations headquarters Deputy Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya met with the UN Security Council President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam Pham Binh Minh, to discuss a number of current issues of the bilateral and international agenda.
Having commended the ongoing development of friendly partnership ties between Kyiv and Hanoi, the sides focused on the prospects of strengthening relations in economic, trade and political areas, as well as of enhancement of cooperation between the two countries at the United Nations and other international organizations.
In particular, they agreed to continue working on preparation of vice-ministerial political consultations in 2020 and organizing the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Viet Nam.
Pham Binh Minh expressed sincere condolences in connection with the crash of the Ukrainian plane in Iran and agreed with Ukraine’s position on the need to ensure comprehensive, independent and transparent investigation into this tragedy.
