On 29 June, 2011, Mr. K. Gryshchenko, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, held the meeting with Mr. G. Zandashatar, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia.

Both Ministers highly appreciated the course and preliminary results of the state visit to Ukraine of H.E. Ts. Elbegdorj, the President of Mongolia, having emphasized the necessity of increasing the dynamics of the high-level political dialogue, as well as stirring up interaction between the Foreign Ministries. They exchanged views on means and tools of economization of bilateral relations on key directions, including implementation of joint projects in geology, energy sector, agriculture, heavy industry and transport spheres.

The Ministers expressed satisfaction with signing the Plan of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia for the years of 2012-13 and exchanged invitations for reciprocal official visits. Special attention was paid to the prospects of interaction in the UN and in the framework of the “Community of Democracies” where Mongolia undertakes its chairmanship for the next two years, as well as to the urgent issues of the global agenda.

The Heads of the Foreign Ministries have agreed upon the necessity of holding in 2012 the celebrations on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Mongolia.
