On October 24, 2012 Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko, who is paying a working visit to Doha, held talks with Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Ali bin Fahad Al-Hajri, during which the parties analyzed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic and investment spheres.

It was also emphasized that the progress of cooperation between Ukraine and Qatar can be achieved through activization of high-level visits exchange and, in particular, intensification of contacts between businessmen of the two countries.

Much attention was paid to the process of modernization taking place in North Africa and the Middle East, as well as prospects for resolving the Syrian crisis.
