On 8 June, 2011, Mr. K. Gryshchenko, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, received Mr. Zhang Xiyun, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine.

On 8 June, 2011, Mr. K. Gryshchenko, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, received Mr. Zhang Xiyun, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine.

The main issue discussed was referred to the preparation of the state visit to Ukraine of H.E. Mr. Hu Jintao, the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China, due on 18-20 June this year.

Kostyantyn Gryshchenko expressed his confidence in the success of this historic visit, having emphasised its outstanding importance for building-up Ukrainian-Chinese relations of strategic partnership and developing cooperation on a wide range of bilateral and international issues.

The two diplomats noted with satisfaction the state of the visit’s preparation by the Foreign Ministries of Ukraine and China, particularly with regard to bilateral documents listed for signing during the visit.
