At the Zmiinyi island the Ukrainian Foreign Minister toured the infrastructure and met with its residents. During the visit the Ukrainian Foreign Minister stressed on the need to further develop the island’s facilities.
During the trip to Reni the Minister familiarized himself with the port’s infrastructure and toured the Danube – Black Sea deep-water shipping canal. The visit was followed by a short meeting with journalists. K.Gryshchenko expressed his conviction that the issue of enhancing the competitiveness of the Reni port becomes more and more important. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will contribute to the competitiveness of the Ukrainian transportation hub in Reni, in particular through attracting there foreign investments”, K.Gryshchenko stressed.
The Foreign Minister of Ukraine also underlined the necessity to develop shipping in Danube observing ecological norms. In the Minister’s opinion, it will give an additional impetus to the region’s development, stipulate the export’s growth and form good grounds for creating new jobs.
