The Ukrainian side was headed by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pavlo Klimkin, and the Greek side was co-headed by the Director General of the Hellenic MFA’s Directorate General for European Union Affairs Mr. Franciscos Verros, and Director General of the Hellenic MFA’s Directorate General for Political Affairs, Mr. Panayotis Zografos.

Also, the head of the Ukrainian delegation conduct negotiations with the Secretary General of the Hellenic MFA, Mr. Yannis - Alexis Zepos,


During the consultations a wide spectrum of issues of the Ukrainian-Greek relations were discussed, including in political, trade and economic spheres, as well as the parties’ cooperation in the European issues and within the framework of international organizations.


Views were exchanged on a wide range of topics of a global and regional character.

The sides confirmed their interest in intensifying the political dialogue between the two countries on the high and highest levels, and in the development and improvement of the legal framework of bilateral relations.

During the meeting of the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Mr. Pavlo Klimkin, with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Mr. Petros Efthymiou, the ways of intensification of Ukrainian-Greek cooperation within the OSCE framework, inter alia, in the context of Ukraine’s future presidency of the Organization in 2013 were discussed .
