Mr. Pavlo Klimkin, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affaires of Ukraine – Head of the Apparatus received Mr. Steven Allen, UNICEF Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States

On 24 May, Mr. Pavlo Klimkin, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affaires of Ukraine – Head of the Apparatus received Mr. Steven Allen, UNICEF Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States who is visiting Ukraine on 24-25 June.

During the meeting both sides noted with appreciation cooperation between Ukraine and UNICEF.

Particular attention was given to the finalization of a new country program for Ukraine for 2012-2016. Both sides have emphasized the need to include into this document Ukraine’s priorities in the area of promotion and protection of the rights of the child. UNICEF project activities in Ukraine have also been discussed.

Both sides have agreed to promote further fruitful cooperation.
