On 25 May, Mr. Pavlo Klimkin, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine held consultations on European issues with Mr. Diego Lopez Garrido, State Secretary for the European Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain.

During the meeting both sides exchanged views on the progress in negotiation process on Ukraine-EU Association Agreement, including the establishment of the deep and comprehensive free trade area, and perspectives of visa-free dialogue.

Mr. Lopez Garrido confirmed the readiness of Spain to support further rapprochement of Ukraine towards the EU.

Both sides emphasized the importance of bilateral exchange of high-level visits for the intensification of Ukrainian-Spanish cooperation.
