Minister for Foreign Affairs Kostyantyn Gryshchenko officially opened Europe Day in Ukraine

Each third Saturday of May Kyiv traditionally marks Europe Day

On the occasion of festivities a “European town” opened on Khreshchatyk Street with the participation of Embassies of EU countries in Ukraine, international organizations and NGOs.

The solemn ceremony to open Europe Day was attended by Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira, members of the European Parliament and EU Ambassadors to Ukraine.

During the tour of the “European town” Kyivans and guests of the city could get familiar with traditions of the European Union and discuss topical issues of Ukraine’s European integration. Public debates were also held into “Let’s overcome visa barriers together! Europe is our common home!”.
