On May 18 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine hosted a preparatory session of the Intergovernmental Ukraine-Emirate Commission on trade and economic cooperation.

The delegations to the session were chaired by Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Vasyl Marmazov and UAE Assistant Foreign Minister Khaled Ghanem Al-Ghaith. The meeting tackled prospects for the establishment of cooperation between Ukraine and the UAE in different economic sectors and approved a relevant Protocol of the session.

The first plenary session of the Intergovernmental Ukraine-Emirate Commission will be held on May 19, 2011 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine under the presidency of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and of the UAE Kostyantyn Gryshchenko and Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
