Topical issues of bilateral relations, as well as the main directions of further development of political dialogue between two countries, including one on the highest level and ways to intensify economic relations were discussed during the meeting.

Special attention was paid to the planned visit of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara to Turkmenistan on 22-23 January 2013 as acting OSCE's Chairperson-in-Office. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan will become the first country in Central Asia, which Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will visit in the framework of the OSCE’s chairmanship.
