These are, first and foremost, European integration as a strategic priority of the foreign policy, and, secondly, the real assistance to the business in the development of trade and economic cooperation, enhancement of potential partners network, as well as promotion of Ukrainian products on the foreign markets.

In this regard Leonid Kozhara ensured that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is oriented at the concrete result, and remains ready for as well as offers further constructive cooperation with the business environment, its associations and unions. In the nearest future the renewed Council of Exporters and Investors is to start operating under the leadership of the MFA of Ukraine.

While characterizing the main directions of foreign economic priorities of Ukraine, the Minister emphasized that together with concentration of all state bodies’ efforts to ensure the soonest conclusion of the Association Agreement with the EU, including the establishment of a free trade area between Ukraine and the EU, Ukraine will develop mutually beneficial trade and economic ties with our major partners, in particular, with the Russian Federation and the Customs Union through acceptable forms of collaboration, as well as with China, countries of Asia and Latin America.
