Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a substantive call with my Turkish colleague and friend Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Hakan Fidan to discuss the latest developments and high-level contacts. I informed Minister Fidan about the substance of the recent negotiations and our further steps. The meeting between Presidents Zelenskyy and Trump on Monday will be very important and we also support the effort to organise the Ukraine-US-Russia meeting at the highest level as soon as possible. So far, Putin has failed to demonstrate any real sign of willingness to end his war. Russian attacks and strikes continue. Consolidated pressure on Moscow and strengthening for Ukraine remain critical to make Russia finally end the killing and enable diplomacy. We value Türkiye’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its important role in the peace efforts. I conveyed our gratitude to President Erdogan for his personal engagement. During the course of this war, Türkiye has been an important platform for meetings aimed at achieving peace and we value its readiness to continue playing this crucial role".
