On June 7, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Melnyk held a meeting with the delegation of the Arizona Defense and Industry Coalition (AZDIC), led by its President, Lynndy Smith, which was in Ukraine on a working visit.
The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the American side for the unprecedented financial and defense assistance provided by the United States of America, which is properly used to protect our state from armed aggression by the Russian Federation.
According to the Ukrainian diplomat, the current visit of a delegation of leading businessmen and politicians from the state of Arizona is a special manifestation of solidarity of American partners with our state and of the support of the Ukrainian people in the defense of their state.
The head and members of the delegation testified to the unwavering support of the American side for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and expressed the determination of the state leadership to contribute to restoration of our country, in particular by building long-term relations in a number of key sectors of the Ukrainian economy.
According to the results of the meeting and discussion of the issues of strengthening the defense capabilities of Ukraine, it is expected that the parties will consider specific areas and projects in more details within the framework of the further development of partnership. For the purpose of practical implementation of the agreements reached, the importance of exchange of delegations of Ukraine and Arizona was emphasized.
Andrii Melnyk pointed out that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will continue to actively promote the strengthening of contacts between Ukraine and the USA at the regional and industry level.
