On April 25, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha received Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Ukraine Arief Muhammad Basalamah.

The First Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian government for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, in particular during the voting of the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly, as well as for the humanitarian assistance in the reconstruction of Chernihiv City Hospital No. 2, and for the provision of scholarships to Ukrainian students.

In the context of preparations for the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, Andrii Sybiha noted the importance of Indonesia's support for the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy`s Peace Formula, as one of the leaders of the Global South.

The parties discussed issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and investments, as well as freedom of navigation in the Black Sea.

The First Deputy Minister confirmed that Ukraine is ready to guarantee food security for Indonesia and other countries of the Global South.

Diplomats also discussed urgent aspects of Ukraine's cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in the context of Ukraine's desire to obtain the status of the Sectoral Dialogue Partner of the Association.
