Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "Russian troops have committed nearly 900 documented acts of sexual violence against Ukrainian civilians and prisoners of war since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, according to a new UN report. Among the victims are 16 children, some as young as four. 

This is the true face of the Russkiy mir: terror, destruction, and suffering. 

Sexual violence and rape is being used as a weapon of war. 

These are only the cases that have been reported and documented. 

The actual number may be much higher. Many victims remain silent, fearing stigma. Russia continues to ignore calls from international institutions to prevent, investigate, and prosecute sexual violence committed by its military personnel and FSB officers. This only confirms it was the right decision to include Russia’s armed forces on the UN Secretary-General’s “list of shame.” 

These war crimes demand an even stronger response. The perpetrators must be identified and prosecuted, while victims deserve justice".
