Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a meaningful call with German Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs Johann Wadephul and informed him about the consequences of Russia’s brutal mass strike against Ukraine. 

We discussed further peace efforts, Europe’s role, and our next steps to advance a just peace. 

We paid special attention to the issue of frozen Russian assets. I emphasised the need to enable their full use for Ukraine’s defense and recovery as soon as possible. 

I also reiterated our gratitude to Germany for its leadership in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, especially life-saving air defense, and its decision to expand support in the 2026 budget."
