Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I spoke with German Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs Johann Wadephul following Russia’s brutal strike. 

I thanked Johann for his condemnation and solidarity. We appreciate Germany’s leadership in supporting Ukraine.  

This attack demonstrated Putin’s weakness rather than his strength. He is unable to achieve any results in his war against Ukraine and terror is all he has left. 

The appropriate response of our allies should be to ramp up pressure on Russia. Moscow must realise the senselessness of such attacks. 

We also discussed preparations for the opening of negotiation clusters. I reiterated that Ukraine fulfilled the necessary requirements and is ready to open all of them.  

I am grateful to Germany for its support of our EU accession, as well as its leadership in strengthening the defense of Ukraine and all of Europe".
