Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a substantive call with my Austrian colleague Beate Meinl-Reisinger.
We coordinated positions on key bilateral and international issues and discussed Austria's upcoming term on the UN Security Council. We agreed on the importance of close coordination in defending the UN Charter and international law, as well as accountability for Russia's aggression.
I briefed my colleague on the latest battlefield developments and Ukraine's ongoing peace efforts. I thanked Austria for its continued support for Ukraine's EU accession and emphasized the importance of opening all remaining negotiating clusters as soon as possible.
We highlighted the importance of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk and welcomed the recent meeting between Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker as another positive step in strengthening our partnership.
We also exchanged views on recent international engagements, including my colleague's visit to China.
I thanked Austria for its steadfast support since the first day of Russia's full-scale invasion. We agreed to maintain close dialogue and continue our active cooperation".
