Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "As part of diplomatic activities to inform our partners about the consequences of Russia’s brutal overnight attack and to secure additional military assistance and air defense for Ukraine, I had a substantive call with Romania’s Foreign Minister Oana Toiu. 

We coordinated further steps aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s resilience and enhancing our bilateral cooperation. 

Grateful for my colleague’s principled stance and personal efforts in support of Ukraine. 

We also highly appreciate the recent decision of Romania’s leadership to join NATO’s PURL initiative to strengthen Ukraine’s military.

Effective Ukraine–Romania cooperation makes an important contribution to strengthening Black Sea security and promoting regional stability.  

We also focused on our bilateral political dialogue in the nearest future as well as further cooperation within the Odesa Triangle format of Ukraine – the Republic of Moldova - Romania."
