Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a productive call with my Romanian friend and colleague, Minister Oana Toiu, following Russia’s latest massive attack on Ukraine.

I thanked Romania for its steadfast support, and solidarity with Ukraine. We highly value Romania’s principled position and its contribution to strengthening security in our region.

I also informed my colleague about the security situation on the ground and stressed Ukraine’s urgent need to protect the skies. Strengthening Ukraine’s air shield means saving lives and enhancing the security of the entire Black Sea region and Europe.

We coordinated our next contacts and discussed further steps to deepen Ukraine–Romania cooperation, with a particular focus on regional security, practical bilateral projects, and continued support for Ukraine.

We also discussed Ukraine’s EU accession process. I thanked Romania for its consistent support and emphasized the importance of maintaining the momentum of our EU accession. Ukraine is delivering on the necessary reforms despite Russia’s ongoing aggression.

We agreed to remain in close contact and continue working together to strengthen our partnership, increase pressure on Russia, and advance our shared goal of a secure, strong, and united Europe".
