Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a productive call with my Swedish colleague Maria Malmer Stenergard. Grateful to Sweden for its steadfast support and particularly for its leadership in advancing the full use of frozen Russian assets for Ukraine. Russia must pay for its aggression.
We followed up on last week’s productive EU Foreign Affairs Council, which delivered important sanctions decisions and reinforced Europe’s determination to maintain pressure on Russia. We also discussed the next steps following last week’s meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson.
A particular focus was strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and protecting our skies against relentless Russian attacks. I am grateful to Sweden for its unwavering support".
