Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a good call with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas. 

We discussed follow-up steps on implementing the agreements reached by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President Daniel Chapo, as well as practical ways to deepen our bilateral cooperation.  

I also reaffirmed Ukraine's interest in holding the second round of political consultations between our Foreign Ministries. 

I briefed my colleague on Russia's latest massive attacks against Ukraine and its escalating strikes on civilian vessels and port infrastructure in the Black Sea. Russia's attacks threaten global food security and the Grain from Ukraine initiative, which has been essential for many countries, including Mozambique. 

Despite Russian aggression, Ukraine remains a reliable partner. We discussed further cooperation to strengthen food security, protect freedom of navigation, and advance a comprehensive and lasting peace. 

We agreed to stay in close contact and continue working together on our shared priorities."
