Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: " I had a good call with Nepal’s newly appointed Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal. 

Congratulated my colleague on his appointment, wished him every success, and expressed hope for strengthening our bilateral relations.  

Reaffirmed that Ukraine is open to boosting cooperation with Nepal, particularly in trade and agriculture. We also discussed promising areas for expanding our partnership. 

We exchanged views on Russia’s systematic recruitment of foreign nationals for its war of aggression against Ukraine. Agreed on the need for stronger joint efforts to expose, prevent, and disrupt such schemes. 

I also drew attention to the problem of Russia’s abduction of Ukrainian children. These crimes require a clear international response and continued joint efforts to ensure accountability and the safe return of every child. 

Thanked Nepal for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for backing the UN GA Resolution “Support for lasting peace in Ukraine”. I invited my counterpart to visit Ukraine".
