Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "Glad to meet with my good friend Radosław Sikorski in Warsaw ahead of the informal ministerial meeting of the Council of the Baltic Sea States with Ukraine and the EU.

I stressed that Poland's principled leadership and realistic approach are strengthening Europe and bringing a just and lasting peace closer.

I also underlined Poland's important role as Ukraine's trusted ally and a key logistics hub. We are grateful to Poland for its support.

I briefed Radek on the latest developments in Russia's war against Ukraine and on our diplomatic efforts to achieve peace. We coordinated positions ahead of the meeting in Abu Dhabi.

We focused on strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, particularly air and missile defense, and on advancing our cooperation on drones. Continued military assistance remains critical as Russia intensifies its attacks on Ukrainian cities, people, and civilian infrastructure.

We also spoke about ways to increase pressure on the aggressor.

We discussed bilateral relations and agreed to continue our active joint work to normalize them and resolve all outstanding issues through constructive dialogue. Work on exhumations will continue.

We paid special attention to Ukraine’s EU accession. I underscored the importance of opening the two remaining negotiating clusters until the end of this year and thanked Poland for supporting this.

Grateful to Radek for bringing us together at such a timely moment to align our next steps".
