Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "For the past 24 hours, Russian terror against Ukraine has not stopped.

Yesterday alone, Russian strikes killed at least four people and injured 47 in Kyiv.

Today, Russia continued attacking cities across the country. At least two people were killed in Sumy, two in Zaporizhzhia and two in the Dnipropetrovsk region, including a child. Dozens have been injured across Ukraine.

And look at what Russia has been hitting during these 24 hours: a kindergarten in Kyiv, a lyceum in the Kyiv region, a university in Kharkiv, residential buildings, as well as energy infrastructure in the Poltava, Mykolaiv, and Vinnytsia regions. 

There is a clear pattern — these are civilian sites. Places where people live, study, work, and bring their children. Air raid alerts barely end before another attack begins. This is what Russia’s escalation looks like for Ukrainians every day.

Our partners must not lose sight of this reality. Russia’s escalation is not something that happens occasionally between rounds of diplomacy. It is happening every day, with attacks becoming increasingly brutal and civilians paying the price.

The world must not become numb to these attacks or scroll past horrific images as though they were just another headline. If Russia chooses to make its attacks more brutal, the response must become stronger too. Every strike demands action and accountability: more missile interceptors for Ukraine, stronger sanctions against those enabling Russia’s terror, and greater pressure on Moscow.

Russia is testing how much violence the world will tolerate. The answer must be clear: escalation will bring greater pressure, greater support for Ukraine, and a higher price for the aggressor. This is how we prevent Russia’s war from spreading further.
