Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a meaningful call with my British colleague and friend David Lammy about our next steps to increase pressure on Moscow. We discussed the current situation on the battlefield and coordinated positions ahead of important international events, in particular the NATO Summit in The Hague. I expressed gratitude for the UK’s further expansion of sanctions against Russia announced by the Prime Minister Starmer at G7 Summit this week, including Putin’s «shadow fleet». We also focused on further concrete decisions to strengthen Ukraine and ramp up pressure on Russia to end its war against Ukraine and achieve a just and lasting peace. I also emphasized the necessity to provide Ukraine with additional air defence systems to protect our peaceful cities and critical infrastructure from Russia’s attacks. I value the UK’s principled leadership and steadfast support for Ukraine".
