Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "Always good to meet with Ukraineʼs great friend Andrius Kubilius. This time in Brussels, ahead of the important FAC meeting. We had a very insightful conversation about the entire agenda of European security, first of all practical steps to strengthen Europe’s collective security through deepening defense cooperation between Ukraine and the EU. In this regard, we compared notes on the SAFE mechanism, integrated European air defense, multiplication of the Danish model, and implementation of various ammunition initiatives.

I highlighted Ukraine’s most urgent need for additional air defense systems to protect civilians and energy infrastructure, which are under constant Russian attacks ahead of winter. I informed Commissioner Kubilius and the team of Ukraine’s supporters about recent geopolitical developments, in particular the outcomes of the meeting between President Zelenskyy and President Trump, as well as the frontline situation, the bravery and creativity of Ukrainian warriors.
